Help Painless Home Relief Rebuild After Hurricane

Donation protected
Hi there, my name is Naia and I live in a tiny mountain town called Barnardsville, 25 minutes north of Asheville. After the strike of Hurricane Helene, I sat on my porch alone on the top of the mountain for 4 days without power, running water, cell service or gas in my car. I watched countless search and rescue helicopters fly above going into the holler to extract people from the floods and landslides. Our town is still destroyed 4 weeks later.

When I saw the Facebook post from Michael & Courtney (Painless Home Relief) offering support to our community to build and transport tiny homes to those who own land and yet their homes are destroyed from the hurricane, I also felt inspired to help. I am starting this GoFundMe to raise funds to construct these tiny homes and transport them to families before the winter and cold weather sets in.

Calling in financial support for this sweet family (Painless Home Relief) who are using their land in Weaverville and money from their own pockets thus far to build these structures and then transport them to each individual's land.

Their family, including 5 children, have also been greatly impacted by this storm, as a tree fell on their house and they had to evacuate to get their daughter's epilepsy medication to a refrigerator. After using all of their funds on a nearby hotel, they have returned home and felt the call to support their community in such a big way.

We are in the midst of gathering construction materials to build the first structure out of 30. These will be built at 10'x16' with lofts and will include a generator, propane, air mattresses, and something to cook on. Along with any other supplies we can gather and provide. Looking to prioritize the elderly, sick, and families with children to get them into safe structures before late fall and winter arrives.

We need funds for building materials, gas, supplies, and so forth to get these structures built and distributed ASAP. Any financial support is greatly appreciated, and we hope to turn this dream into a reality and get our community safe indoors before the cold weather sets in. Thank you!
