Help Pahoua and Cha Adopt a Baby

Hello everyone!

My husband, Cha, and I are excited to share with you all that we've decided to start our family through adoption. We are currently waiting to be matched! Our profiles are now available for birthparents to review and consider!

Before we reached this decision to adopt a baby, we went through so much to become parents. We consumed natural Hmong fertility remedies and supplements, and even sought help from medical professionals. After undergoing tests and treatments, I found out on my 30th birthday in August 2020, that my uterus was overwhelmed with tumors and cancerous polyps. I was later diagnosed with Stage 1 Endometrial Cancer. In October 2020, I had a hysterectomy, which, though life-saving, meant that I will never be able to carry biological children.

After experiencing 6 years of infertility and 3 years of grieving the losses that followed my cancer treatment, Cha and I have learned so much about our strength as a couple and have grown in the resilient love that bonds us. We cannot wait to share our love and become a family of three (or four) through adoption.

Adoption is an incredibly costly process, encompassing agency fees, legal expenses, travel costs, and more. The average cost of adopting an infant can range anywhere from $40,000 to $70,000. We have created this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burdens and to invite our community to be a part of our baby adoption journey.
