One week ago, I had dental surgery after root canals failed. Now, as I wait for the extraction sites to heal, I’m facing the next step: getting my teeth fixed so I can eat and smile comfortably again. Dental issues like this are never easy, and the costs can be overwhelming, even with insurance.
I’ve taken out a loan to cover the dental surgery, but the company requires the full amount to be paid off within a year. With my current financial situation, that’s just not possible for me to manage alone. My insurance through work only covers cleanings and a little help with fillings, so I’m left to cover the majority of this bill myself. My dentist kindly put in a temporary tooth in the spot closest to the front so I don’t feel self-conscious about smiling, but it won’t hold for very long.
This is the second time in less than a year that I’ve needed to ask for help with medical expenses, and I know it’s a lot to ask. But your support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing my story—would mean the world to me. Every bit helps, and I’m so grateful for any kindness you can offer as I work toward getting healthy and back on my feet.
