**Support Oyuhpe Tokala – Protectors of the Oglala Lakota People**

Oyuhpe Tokala is a traditional Lakota society based on the Pine Ridge Reservation, rooted in ancestral responsibility, community service, and the protection of our people. For generations, Oyuhpe Tokala has answered the call when others could not—standing watch over the community, helping families in crisis, and honoring the Lakota duty to protect life and land.

One of their most critical roles is **search and rescue**. When someone goes missing on the reservation, Oyuhpe Tokala mobilizes quickly, often in harsh conditions and with limited resources. They volunteer their time, knowledge of the land, and cultural responsibility to help bring loved ones home and provide answers to grieving families.

Oyuhpe Tokala also serves as **community protectors**, helping maintain safety, peace, and stability during times of uncertainty. As outside pressures increase—including the presence of ICE agents and other predatory factors that create fear and instability—our people need organized, culturally grounded support more than ever. Oyuhpe Tokala works to **defend Lakota homelands through lawful, nonviolent means**, community patrols, emergency response, cultural presence, and coordination with families to ensure elders, children, and vulnerable community members are protected.

Despite the importance of this work, Oyuhpe Tokala operates with **little to no funding**. Donations will help provide:

* Search and rescue supplies (fuel, radios, flashlights, first aid)
* Communication equipment
* Protective and safety gear
* Transportation and emergency response costs
* Food, water, and basic support for volunteers during long operations
* Community readiness and cultural protection efforts

Supporting Oyuhpe Tokala means supporting **life, safety, sovereignty, and community care** on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Every contribution helps strengthen a group that stands for the people when help is needed most.

Wopila tanka—thank you for standing with Oyuhpe Tokala and the Oglala Lakota people.
