Help Oxbow Students Grow a Green Future
Donation protected
Dear whom may it concern,
I am writing on behalf of Oxbow High School to request funding for an exciting addition to our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program—a hydroponic farm recently donated to our school. This innovative project will provide students with hands-on learning opportunities while promoting sustainability and agricultural innovation.
To make this project a reality, we are seeking financial support to cover the following expenses:
1. Constructing a Concrete Pad: Necessary to create a stable, weather-resistant foundation for the hydroponic system.
2. Electrical Hookups: Essential to power the equipment and ensure smooth operation of the farm.
3. Materials and Supplies: Includes seeds, nutrients, grow lights, and other essentials needed to begin farming.
The estimated cost for completing the project is approximately $50,000, which will enable us to fully install and operate the farm. This facility will serve as a cornerstone of our STEM curriculum, allowing students to explore modern agricultural techniques, study environmental science, and engage in innovative projects. Additionally, the farm has the potential to contribute to local food systems and demonstrate sustainable practices to the community.
We believe this project is a significant step toward preparing our students for future careers in science, technology, and environmental fields. Your generous contribution would make a lasting impact on both their education and our school’s commitment to sustainability.
Thank you for considering our request. We would be happy to provide further details or meet to discuss the project. Your support would mean the world to our students and help bring this transformative opportunity to life at Oxbow High School.
Warm regards,
Dylan Greer
