Help Out My Uncle Octavio, a Journalist in a Tough Spot
Donation protected
Hey everyone!
I’m raising some support for my uncle, Octavio. He’s been a journalist in Mexico for 41 years and is honestly one of the most dedicated people I know. He’s even won the national journalism prize three times (yeah, I’m super proud of him).
Lately, though, things have been rough. Due to funding problems at his job, he hasn’t been paid in months. He’s doing everything he can to keep going, but it's getting hard to cover basic stuff like groceries, bills, and especially medical expenses for his wife.
In Mexico, approximately 70% of people live paycheck to paycheck, and the current economic and political environment makes it difficult for locals to maintain a stable lifestyle. While expats and others might not fully grasp the challenges faced by residents, Octavio's story is a testament to the resilience required to navigate these circumstances.
So I’m reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who wants to show some support for someone who’s worked hard his whole life and really needs a hand right now. Every little bit will go directly toward helping him and his family get through this. Your donation and your help in sharing this make a big difference.
Gracias
