Help our wonderful Ukranian friend & his family

Hi all, Andrei & I want to support our wonderful friend Andriy and his family. Andrei & Andriy - we know it is confusing - as Andriy said in his best man speech at our wedding - call him the 'short one, not the small one'! :)

Andriy has been Andrei's best friend for well over a decade, and I met him the night I met Andrei way back in 2013. He is a massive part of our story and our lives. He is a wonderful guy, a magnificent friend, and we want to help him and his lovely family at this time.

Andriy is from Ukraine. In the past few months, Andriy's life and his family's lives have been turned upside down. After an unimaginable journey and a long wait with a kind family in Poland, Andriy's Mom, aunt, cousin, and cousin's little girl, aged 7, safely arrived in London. Andriy and his sister, who also lives in London, are now wholly responsible for them and Andriy's Dad, who was visiting London at the time of the invasion. Andriy's uncle and his cousin's husband are sadly still in Ukraine.

The relief of everyone being alive and safe and together is huge, but no doubt the financial stress of providing for everyone appropriately is a challenge they will have to face for some time.

As we watch in horror at what continues to unfold across Ukraine and for Ukrainian people seeking safety, we want to do whatever we can to help someone very dear to us directly.

We are having a little party in Tully on Friday May 27th, a fundraiser for Andriy & his family. Please do come, have a cocktail and help us raise some funds. If you can't make it and feel that you might like to donate, we would hugely appreciate any contribution.

Any funds donated by Jennifer Coffey & Andrei Cacuri de Sa will be distributed to Andriy Sapoznikov who resides in London, UK. The funds will support Andriys' family as they adjust to their new lives in London.
