Help Our Volunteer Fire Photographer, Valerie
Donation protected
I am setting up this fundraising account to help our local volunteer fire photographer, Valerie Hanson, who had her camera and gear stolen. A police report was filed, and pawn shops have been notified. The camera was a Sony aR7 IVA, the lens was Sony FE 50mm f/1.8 and the battery/charger, memory cards and case. The overall value of the camera and equipment was just under $5000.00
Valerie is the volunteer photographer for Eureka and Arcata area Fire Departments, the CARDA K9 Search and Rescue, and the Prescribed Burn Association, and specializes in pet photography. She donates her time and skill for free and supplies all agencies with their photos for free. This is a loss of vital equipment for her work and art which she cannot afford to replace. On top of this loss of her equipment, she recently has been recovering from multiple surgeries and infections to her shoulders which she was flown to Santa Rose to address.
She has exhausted her financial resources addressing the recent medical concerns and needs help to replace the equipment that was stolen. We are asking for your help through this Go-Fund-Me account. Any assistance is appreciated and, if possible, please share this so others may contribute.
