Hello, my name is Roxana, and I am the mother of a wonderful little boy named Eliam Mejía, born on August 19, 2018.
Eliam is seven years old and lives with Down syndrome and West syndrome. He does not walk or talk and depends on daily medication to control his seizures. Because of his condition, a stroller is not a luxury for us — it is a necessity so we can safely take him to medical appointments, therapy, school activities, and even simple outings.
We tried to obtain a stroller through our insurance, but our request was denied. Unfortunately, we do not have the financial means to purchase one on our own, which is why we are humbly asking for help.
Eliam is a very sweet, loving child who is always eager to learn. When he was younger, he faced many serious health challenges, but he has overcome them with incredible strength and continues to grow healthier and stronger every day.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward purchasing a safe and appropriate stroller for Eliam. If you are unable to donate, sharing our story would also mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
God bless you.
— Roxana, Eliam’s mom
