Hoy recurro a ustedes con muchísimo dolor en el corazón. Mi hermana lleva 3 meses detenída , y como familia estamos viviendo una pesadilla mientras ella enfrenta la deportación. Lo que lo hace aún más difícil es que el abogado en el que confiamos no hizo absolutamente nada por ayudarla. No mostró esfuerzo, ni urgencia, ni interés, dejándola totalmente desprotegida en el momento más crítico de su vida.

Mi hermana es madre de 4 y ellos la necesitan. Ella llegó a este país cuando tenía 14 años. Este es el único hogar que ha conocido. Aquí está su familia, su vida y todo lo que para ella es familiar. Ella no conoce México, no tiene a nadie allá, y enviarla de regreso especialmente ahora que está tan peligroso sería ponerla en riesgo y arrancarla de sus hijos y de toda nuestra familia.

Estamos recaudando fondos para poder pagar la representación legal que realmente necesita y luchar por ella como se merece. Estos gastos son muy altos, pero no queremos rendirnos. Ella merece la oportunidad de quedarse en el lugar que ha sido su hogar por décadas.

I’m reaching out today with a heavy and hurting heart. My sister has now been detained for 3 months, and our family is living a nightmare as she fights her deportation case. What has made this experience even more heartbreaking is that the lawyer we trusted did absolutely nothing to help her. He showed no effort, no urgency, and no compassion, leaving her completely unprotected during the most important battle of her life.

My sister is a mother of 4 , and her children are suffering without her. She came to this country when she was just 14 years old . This is the only home she has ever known. Her family, her life, and everything familiar to her is here. She has no one in Mexico and knows nothing about living there. Sending her back especially with how dangerous things are right now would put her life at risk and tear her away from her kids and from all of us who love her.

We are raising funds to get her the proper legal representation she desperately needs so we can fight for her the way she deserves. These costs are overwhelming for our family, but we refuse to give up. She deserves the chance to stay in the place she has called home for decades.
