Help our sister and friend, Fran Dlugach Miller!

My name is Teresa Golden Hester, and I want to tell you about my precious friend of 60 yrs. Fran Dlugach Miller lived in Memphis most of her life and graduated from Treadwell High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Larry Miller, and together they raised three beautiful children.

Fran gave her life to the Lord early on and has spent so many years involved in Bible Study Fellowship in teaching and leadership roles in Memphis churches. What a gift to the world this woman has been and continues to be wherever she lives (currently in MO: MO is lucky)!

A week ago, Fran and Larry’s middle child, Ally Miller Thomas, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and double pneumonia. She was sent to St. Louis where she will be in treatment for at least a month, will go home and then will return to St. Louis 3-5 mos. afterward for a stem cell transplant. Fran is with Ally, as Larry is unable to travel due to a recent surgery. (The church family and neighbors are assisting Larry in Fran’s absence.) Fran is on leave from work.

Our dear friend is in a challenging, difficult time, yet, she said, “The doctors are wonderful, and God is still on the throne.” While Fran is strong in faith, this is an immediate “call to action” for all the people who have been touched and assisted by her in the past.
