Help Our Seniors Get Connected

Tax deductible
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 nearly 2,000 seniors in the communities of East New York, Bedford Stuyvesant, and the Brownsville areas of Brooklyn; have been left with no means to connect with one another, their love ones or their local community Senior Centers. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 our Senior Centers have been closed for all in-person services. This means that the vital, inclusive, holistic and impactful services such as in person workshops focusing on Health, Wellness, Nutrition and Arts & Craft has been suspended along with serving our seniors two nutritious meals per day.

Could you imagine what life has been like for our seniors? We all have experienced what it feels like to be isolated and at home throughout this pandemic and it has drove some of us insane however, those of us who have access to internet, cell phones, Wi-Fi and tablets were able to join zoom meetings and connect with our friends, family and love ones. Unfortunately, this is not the same outcome for our seniors. Our seniors are counting on you to help them reconnect with their community and love ones. By donating to this cause, you will be assisting in our efforts to purchase internet enabled tablet devices for all seniors enrolled in our programs throughout Brooklyn. This will allow our seniors to join in on our virtual workshops, connect with one another in a meaningful way and re-engage with their community. We are calling on you to “Help our Seniors Get Connected”.
