Supporting our Rangatahi - Help Us Get to Koroneihana 2025
Donation protected
Ngā Manu Pūtohe is a not-for-profit organization. We are a passionate rangatahi kapa haka group based in Brisbane, Australia, dedicated to preserving and promoting Māori culture through traditional and contemporary performances.
We provide and avenue to learn, engage and practice through Māori mediums, helping to build our community by igniting and revitalizing our culture. Our group is composed of talented young individuals aging from 14 years old to 18 years old who are committed to showcasing their heritage with pride.
For the first time, 30th August – 4th September 2025, our rangatahi will step out of their comfort zones and experience the heart of Aotearoa first-hand.
We are heading to Koroneihana in Ngaruawahia, Waikato. There, we will dive into Māori performing arts, partake in wānanga, discussions facing Māori communities including language and education.
We will be staying with different kura (schools), making new connections, and learning in ways that are just not possible here in Australia, for many of us, this is more than a trip – but a chance to finally walk the land and bring those experiences back to share with our whānau here.
We are seeking help to cover travel, accommodation, food and program costs.
