Boat Fire - Help Our Gulf Harbors Neighbor

Hi, my name is Patti Spoeth, and I'm starting a GoFundMe page for my friend and neighbor, Joyce Kurtz, in Gulf Harbors on Leeward Lane. Her son, Curt, was working on their boat this morning; the engine exploded, starting a fire and burning the boat. At this time, all we know is he has been airlifted to Tampa General with second-degree burns on his legs. Since he will be unable to work for an extended time, donations will go to help support his wife and daughter. Any help is appreciated.

4.11.22 Update - Curtis has 3rd degree burns on his legs and feet. Waiting on surgeon to say if he will need skin grafts. He will be having surgery tomorrow and they will know then if the skin grafts are needed.

4.14.22 Update - Curtis did not have to have skin grafts, thankfully. He is up walking with a walker and the hospital may release him sometime this week.  Joey and family thanks everyone for their prayers, support and donations.  He will still have a lot of healing to do, but everyone has been so supportive. All of this is so much appreciated.

4.19.22 Update - Joey's son, Curtis is home and has begun the healing process.  Of course it's not going as fast as he anticipated, but a step at a time.  Everyone's prayers, concern and donations are much appreciated.
