Yesterday we received unexpected news. With a heavy heart, we found out our mother was diagnosed with stage 4 Adenocarcinoma cancer of the lungs. This is a non-small cell lung cancer that originates in the mucus-secreting glands of the lung. In her case, it’s covering both lungs and within both lymph nodes (positive for malignant cells). More test are needed to be performed to see if the cancer has spread to other organs. Treatments need to be started right away. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have health insurance at this time. We are currently working on get her some but in the meantime we are struggling meeting the payment requirements needed for her treatments.
