We are Jeannine, Eli, Amy, and Uriah -- the children of Mary Beth Barnes. As some of you may know, our mom is a survivor -- she’s fought and won her battle with breast cancer twice already.
Now, at the age of 66, our mom is fighting her 3rd battle. Only this time, her battle is with metastatic cancer that has spread to her lungs. She is currently making it through an experimental treatment that -- we hope -- will prolong her life for years to come.
However, when she asked directly, her doctor said she is projected to live 4 - 6 months without treatment, but that he cannot say whether the treatment will give her any additional time. He added: “If you are able, I suggest that you quit your job right now and spend your time with family and doing the stuff that you love to do.”
Help us raise $3,052 to help our mom spend time doing what she loves!
Our mom currently works at the local school cafeteria, bringing in $763 a month, after taxes. That means she needs only $3,052 to make ends meet until the end of school year. If you help us reach our goal of raising that amount of money for her, she can spend the next several months resting, recovering, and spending time with loved ones instead of working the school slop line.
