Help Our Mom Heal and Rebuild Her Life

Hiya, my name is Liam and my brother (Logan) and my sister (Anna) and I are trying to help our mom get back on her feet after she’s fallen on hard times. For the past several years, mom had been taking care of a family member of ours who had been battling Alzheimer’s. As the sole caregiver, she dedicated everything she had, setting aside her job, her time, and her own physical and mental health. As a result, she is struggling financially and has been diagnosed with PTSD. The biggest concerns are that she’s at risk of being unhoused and that she needs transportation to work.

Since her diagnosis with trauma and PTSD, our mom has made major steps toward healing, coping, and regaining her confidence and independence. I am incredibly proud of the work she’s put in and the progress she’s made, and it fills me with hope to see her doing better.

My siblings and I want to do everything we can to support our mom in regards to starting fresh. Mom owns a car but needs to get it repaired and properly registered and insured in the state where she now lives. Estimated costs to get the car road legal and running properly are about $2,000. In addition, mom needs assistance with move-in costs including first and last month’s rent, as well as veterinary care for her dog Eddy. Our goal of $5,000 should help cover all these expenses and get her well on her way to recovering.

Your donation will help her build toward a new life and avoid the possibility that she might become unhoused. Every contribution, no matter how small, will mean the world to my family and I. After coming so far, my mom deserves a second chance, and we will be so grateful to anyone who can help us give her that second chance.
