The last week on the Eljido side of the estuary unfortunately was too much for the old diesel engine in our Bomberos truck. The estimate to fully repair the huge engine is over $2,000.   The truck is from the 1970s.  We have the possibility to obtain a much newer truck from Los Angeles County but it will take diesel fuel and the cost of importation to get it here.   They're currently without a truck so time is of the essence!    Our goal is to have $2,000 by November 1st and $5,000 by the end of December.

We are asking for as much as we can raise because the tuck needs to be housed properly to keep it safe from parts theft and weather damage.
