Help our grandparents get back in their home!

Hello friends and family,

On behalf of my entire family thank you for being here. In August 2021 Hurricane Ida ripped through Houma, Louisiana displacing our grandparents, ages 87 and 83 into a camper in their backyard. As you can imagine this has not been easy. All their belongings from 64 years of marriage were put into two huge storage containers on the property.

As of March 2, 2023, renovations were complete and they could move in! The family gathered to empty the containers and unfortunately, almost everything from their life in the containers was molded and ruined. With the cost of construction, they don't have the means to refurnish their home. They don't even have a bed to sleep in tonight and are having to go back into the camper. This is a hard and humble situation. My grandparents are loved by many in their community. In setting this up we are hoping that all the love they've given everyone over the years can be given to them in this small way during this very difficult time. Any little bit helps.
