Hi, my name is Steve and Grant is one of my best friends. He has a heart as big as all of Australia and has had some serious challenges of late in caring for his family (6 kids, three with special needs - full breakdown below) and in keeping a roof overhead. Multiple factors are working against him and he could use our help to get out of this tight space. Grant has always been a giver and has helped so many over the years through both work and friendship. If you are able to donate, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for reading.
From Grant (when I asked him to break it down): Ok bro so, we are a family of eight with three of my boys on the spectrum asd and one is severely autistic and also has a comorbid intellectual disability, he has no concept of safety and needs a secure home to live with lockable fences and doors for his safety. I take care of my wife as well as she is suffering from fibromyalgia and ptsd anxiety and depression and can’t do more than an hour of housework a day. I’m home schooling my son Mayer who is level two asd and doesn’t fit into any physical school setting. So far our best option is to buy or build a house but we only have ten weeks to do so!! We drive a Nissan micra which is a tiny car so getting around is a challenge too. We need to live in the city of Perth to receive the proper support for our family. There is nothing available from the government and all the support groups are at capacity and can’t help, we will have to admit our son Noah to the Perth children’s hospital until we can find a place to live and they aren’t set up to care for him so I’m guessing we’ll be living in the bush somewhere or dead . Cheers brother
