As all of you know, Laura Hunter, aka Laura Bly, had some recent difficulties with her ex. Below is the situation described in Laura's own words on Facebook, Jan 24th, 2025.

"We are currently staying at a motel, as my ex refuses to leave my house and is being very verbally abusive & my kids can't be around that. Unfortunately, there's limited resources in this area. I'm technically 'homeless' now, despite owning my own home. I have no vehicle atm. He has been living there rent-free & pays no bills - and he has 9 cats which we agreed he would get rid of some of them when he came and he didn't - and also doesn't take care of them as he should. The agreement was he would help out with the house, but he spends all his money on weed. He has been threatening to report me to adult protective services and child protective services if I make him leave. He did call them, and I've been cleared - because my worker knew about the threats going back to July/August. Yesterday he called me names in front of my kids & I've just had enough. He even contacted my children's father and told me he's going to get him custody of my kids."

Thankfully, Laura was able to take action to have her ex evicted while she and the kids stayed in the motel. Laura has since returned to her home, however left her without a vehicle. Laura's house is in a rural area which is about 30 minutes away from grocery stores, doctor's office, civilization in general. There is no bus or public transit, no Uber or taxi services in the area.

So please let's all do our part to donate a small sum to help Laura get herself a used car so that she can go to the grocery store to pick up food for her 2 small children.
