Help our friend Greg finally come home

Donation protected
It's hard to know what to say about my friend Greg.

The part you probably know: Gregory Diatchenko spent 34 years at MCI Norfolk, after being sentenced as a juvenile to life without parole. Two years ago, Greg was re-incarcerated after participating in a public protest. During the time Greg has been back inside, hundreds of community members have written countless letters of support for bringing him home where he belongs.

The part you may not know: Greg is one of the kindest human beings on this planet. He cares about his friends. He never forgets birthdays or anniversaries, and he's always excited to celebrate accomplishments and milestones. He calls after people when they're sick. Greg once literally offered his own car to someone who had lost theirs. To this day, members of the congregation at the church where Greg worked at the time of his re-incarceration still keep in regular contact with him. This past Spring, Greg caught COVID-19 while inside MCI Shirley, and we all believed he might not make it out alive.

After winning his most recent appeal, Greg is finally coming home and we couldn't be more excited. But we really, really need your help. In addition to paying for the usual items like room and board, Greg needs surgery and substantial dental and medical care. His whole life was taken away two years ago, and we need your help to get it back.

Warmly,

Jessica
