I’ve never thought I would write something like this in my life, but here I am, struggling to find the words that can describe the pain in our hearts.
My name is Anesa, and I live abroad with my Palestinian husband, Khaled Kraizim, while the rest of his family remains trapped in Gaza.
Their beautiful four-floor home — once full of love and memories — was destroyed during the war.
Since then, they have been forced to flee repeatedly: from the north to the south, from hospitals to schools, and even into the streets. Today, some of them are still living in tents, facing cold, hunger, and fear.

We were working hard to evacuate 13 family members to Egypt — Khaled’s parents, siblings, their spouses, and children — but before we could secure the amount the Egyptian authorities used to require ($5,000–$7,000 per adult, $2,500–$5,000 per child), Rafah crossing was shut down completely. That dream vanished, and survival became our only goal.

Khaled’s sister, Sally, still needs multiple surgeries after surviving a tragic car accident three years ago that claimed their younger sister Samar. During the war, she also developed a severe thyroid condition. Their mother suffers from serious spinal problems, and their father, who is diabetic and hypertensive, has no access to treatment.
Half of the previous support we received is already gone, spent on basic needs. Prices in Gaza are extreme, rent is unaffordable after months in tents, and there has been no work or income for nearly two years. The economic collapse has driven exchange fees to 52%, food is either unavailable or far too expensive, and we are no longer thinking about the future — only fighting to survive hunger and cold each day.
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps provide clean water, food, warmth, and medical care. You may not see it, but your support is the thin line between despair and survival.
From our hearts, thank you for continuing to stand with us. Your compassion means everything. Your contribution may save a life.
With gratitude,
Anesa & Khaled
