I'm a mom who suffered from preeclampsia. The only option was delivering my son at 32 weeks and 5 days via C-section because my blood pressure wouldn't drop. I literally only had 3 days. I got steroid shots and a magnesium drip to help before they did the C-section. My son came out fine, only needing help with breathing and a feeding tube. He was on the purple lights for one night because of developing jaundice.

On Wednesday, January 21st, I got a morning call. Remind you, he was born January 17th with no issues besides needing help with feeding and breathing. They called and said my son got a broken bone. He didn't get this fracture from birth. One of the nurses at the hospital where my son was born neglected him. It took a shift change of nurses to say something about my son being in pain and his leg not looking right. Thank God he was about to be transported to another NICU, which is one of the best hospitals for children and able to care for his needs. Since then, my son has been doing amazing. It's just getting through his leg pain. This morning, he received some Tylenol because his blood pressure was a little high and showed he was in a little pain. They're going to change out his harness and adjust to see if he needs a better position for his legs.

All this for weeks, my husband has been unable to work, traveling back and forth to the hospital and helping me with our 8 other children at home and taking care of our son. Bills have become behind for this month, and me being a stay-at-home mom, I have no source of income. It's very overwhelming. Until our son is out of the NICU, not sure when that will be, going on another week, he's still in the NICU. Prayers he comes home soon so we can go back to our normal lives. Anything helps us get through this month to pay bills that are becoming behind. Thanks, our family will appreciate it.
