Hi everyone,

My name is Mel and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart but also with faith that kindness still exists. My family and I are facing eviction, and our court date is set for November 21st. We’ve done everything we can to stay afloat, but we’ve reached a point where we truly need help.

This year has been especially hard. Much of our savings went toward helping close family members who fell on difficult times — we couldn’t turn our backs on them. Between that and rising costs, we fell behind on rent. Now we owe $5000and although we’ve managed to save a good amount , it’s not enough to stop the eviction.

We also run a small cat rescue from our home — caring for abandoned, special-needs, and stray cats who have nowhere else to go. They’re family to us. Many of them have come from heartbreaking situations, and we’ve worked hard to give them love, warmth, and safety. Losing our home would mean not only losing our own stability but also putting these sweet animals at risk.

Every dollar donated will go directly toward paying the remaining balance to stop the eviction and keep our rescue going. Your help would mean the world to us — it would give us the chance to stay together, rebuild, and continue helping the animals that rely on us every day.
