Hey everyone my name is Daniel, and I’m 18 years old, I have 2 brothers, their names are Gabriel(16yrs old), and my youngest brother Christopher (9 yrs old). I live in a house with just my 2 brothers and my mom. My mom has been going through a lot recently, and she has been acting different the passed 5 weeks. It wasn’t until really recently that my mom began acting out of the ordinary. She hasn’t been able to maintain enough income to sustain all of us in the house, she just got out of a 3 year relationship, and me and my brothers are abt to leave for Texas because she can’t afford to look after us anymore, while some family looks out for us until I can sustain a life for us. All of this stress on her shoulders has just seemed to make her snap, and the person that I call mom just isn’t the same. This has been building up for about 5 weeks and that’s when I started noticing little changes in her behavior. At first it started with her not being able to give direct answers, she was being forgetful, jumping topics in a conversation really fast, and going on walks through out the night just up and down the street pacing. Then the changes in her behavior began to become a lot more noticeable this passed week, like talking to herself as if she’s having a conversation with someone, writing on the walls, laying in the middle of the floor, walking around the house in only a counter clockwise direction, heightened emotions, child like behavior, not going to sleep, placing random objects on the floor, doors, and on the walls, and a list of so much more things that have us worried for her. My little brothers are scared and not exactly of her, but scared if we might not ever get our mom back. We tried calling the police and we tried to figure out how we can get her help, but they told us there was nothing they can do, and all the places that are offering help are just way to expensive or are just not good places. Me and my brother told her that we need to get her help but she thinks she’s normal, and didn’t need it. It wasn’t until I started crying while having a conversation that we convinced her that she needs help, and she agreed to take it but we just don’t have the financial stability or resources, to get her the help that she needs. We need help and this was the last solution, any donations would take a huge burden of of our shoulders.
