After being evacuated from our home in Kipnuk, my family and I are starting over in Bethel, Alaska. I have worked as a Site Technician for the Lower Kuskokwim School District since 1997, and now I am here with my spouse, our daughter, and three of our grandchildren. The transition has been challenging, and we are doing our best to rebuild our lives in a new community.
One of our biggest hurdles right now is transportation. Without a vehicle, it’s extremely difficult for us to get to job opportunities, look for housing, and access local services in Bethel. Reliable transportation would allow us to seek employment, attend important appointments, and provide stability for our grandchildren as we adjust to this new chapter.
We are reaching out for support to help us purchase a vehicle so we can move forward and create a safe, stable environment for our family. Any help will make a real difference as we work to rebuild and settle into our new home.
