Our family recently experienced a devastating unexpected house fire. We lost not only our home but also many of the essentials we rely on every day. Unfortunately, we did not have renters insurance, so none of our personal items are covered. The hardest part has been our kids losing their favorite items and the comfort of their own space. While we are grateful that everyone is safe, the road ahead feels overwhelming as we try to rebuild from scratch.
Right now, we are focused on replacing the basics (clothing, kids' items, mattresses and furniture) so we can create a sense of normalcy for our family again. Aside from that we are just starting to look for a space to relocate while we wait for our house to be rebuilt which will likely take a year at the very minimum. The support from our friends, neighbors, and even strangers means the world to us.
We really appreciate everyone who has reached out to check on us and offer help. It honestly means a lot to us, and we’re so grateful for any support as we get back on our feet.
