Help Our Family Reach a Fresh Start: Car and Bioptic Driving Class
Hello friends, family, and kindhearted supporters,
We are reaching out with hopeful hearts and a prayer for support as we navigate an important chapter in our lives. As a family, we’ve faced many challenges but with every challenge, we’ve also held onto faith, resilience, and love. Right now, we are asking for help with a few life changing needs:
Reliable Transportation
We are in need of a dependable car to support our family’s day-to-day life. I live with severe arthritis in my back and knees, and walking long distances or using public transportation is not safe for me. Just this past weekend, I had a scary health moment after walking in the heat to take my daughter to the library I nearly fainted due to the pressure it put on my heart.
A car isn’t just a convenience for us it’s a necessity.
Bioptic Driving Course for Our Son
Our 22-year-old son Christian lives with a visual condition called cone dystrophy. For years, we were told he would never be able to drive. But God had other plans! He was recently approved for bioptic driving, and a generous family member helped cover the $2,500 cost of his special glasses.
Now we’re at the final step: Christian must complete a DMV-approved bioptic driver’s training course before he can earn his license.
Why We’re Asking
My Husband and I are doing our best to take care of our family, but the truth is: This Mom carry’s a lot. I don’t say that for pity I say it because we all have seasons where we need help. This is ours. I’m trusting God, and we’re taking faithful steps forward but we could use a lift along the way.
Our Goal: $3,500
This amount will help us:
• Put a down payment on a reliable vehicle
• Cover auto insurance (Prayerfully for 6 months up front)
• Pay for Christian’s bioptic driving course
• Support our overall health, safety, and stability
Every little bit helps. Whether you can give $5 or $500 or just share this with someone who can—we are incredibly grateful. Thank you for being part of our journey.
With love and thanks,
The Davenport-Pertway’s
