No family expects to wake up and learn their home is no longer safe or functional — but that’s where we are right now. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. Sharing this is not easy, but we are reaching out with hope and humility during a very overwhelming time for our family.
We are a family of four with two young children — one toddler and one child who is severely on the autism spectrum. Our home is more than just a place to live; it is a safe space where routines, comfort, and stability are essential to our child’s well-being. Any disruption can be incredibly difficult, not just emotionally, but physically and mentally for our entire family.
Recently, we were faced with devastating news: our main sewer line has completely failed and must be replaced immediately. I work full time to support our family, and my husband is a 100% disabled veteran who gave so much in service to our country. While we do everything we can to stay afloat, this sudden and critical expense has left us feeling scared and unsure of how to move forward.
A functioning sewer line isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. Without it, our home becomes unsafe and unlivable, something especially heartbreaking when our children rely so deeply on the familiarity and security of their environment. The stress of potential displacement or unsafe conditions is something no parent wants to face, especially when caring for a child with significant special needs. We are asking for help so we can make these urgent repairs and continue providing a safe, stable home for our children. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to resolving this crisis. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our story means more than you know. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. We are incredibly grateful to anyone who helps us during this difficult chapter. With gratitude, Our Family
