Help Our Family Finance A Used Car
Donation protected
My 80 year-old aunts and I (23F) have run into some financial trouble and hardships over the past 5 years. For those of you who know my aunts and I, you know that we're very prideful and stubborn. We've kept a lot of our hardships and battles a secret from most of our family because we never wanted to rely on anyone but ourselves. However, it has caught up to us and we have no choice but ask for help. My aunt has owned the same Ford Ranger Pick-Up since 1995. Over the past few years we have spent +$2000 on repairs for this truck that can't even be driven further than the city limits. As of right now, Sharon is the only one with a driver's license. I'm working on getting mine soon, but with medical bills for Sandy, me being the only person in the house who can work, and being a full-time college student, we don't have a ton of free time on our hands. The truck broke down recently and is not getting any better, nor is it worth much trade-in value. We don't have the right finances to purchase a used car and are asking for any help possible. Sandy has doctor's appointments coming up to make sure her cancer doesn't come back and monthly check-ups with her doctor after serious hospital stays earlier this year. I have an 8am class every week, and I'm working as many days as I can to try to make ends meet for myself while also paying for a laptop repair and textbooks. The busses don't run early enough for me and we can't rely on Uber for very long with our money situation. We're at a dead-end road with our options and things have been more stressful than we can handle. We're asking for a goal of $5000 to give us a safety blanket to finance a used car while also paying for everything else in our lives at the moment. Any and all donations would be extremely helpful and appreciated more than I can describe.
