My name is Szabolcs, and I live in the UK with my partner, Vera, and our daughter.

Vera has severe hearing loss in both ears. It affects everyday communication and has prevented her from finding work. Supporting our family on one income has put us under financial pressure, and we have struggled with debt. We live in rented accommodation, and my income covers our rent, household bills and our family’s everyday expenses.

I work as an HGV driver and have already paid off several of my debts. We are continuing to take responsibility for our finances, but I am asking for help to clear one remaining loan with Lendable. We intend to manage our other debts ourselves.

As of 4 October 2026, the early settlement quote for my Lendable loan is £4,416.28. Our fundraising target is £4,600 to help cover this amount and donation processing fees. The settlement amount may change while we are fundraising, and I will provide updates.

After processing fees, donations will be used to repay this Lendable loan. If we raise less than the amount needed to clear it, the funds will still go towards reducing the balance. We will continue making repayments ourselves while fundraising.

If donations exceed the amount needed to settle the loan and cover processing fees, any remaining funds will go towards our other outstanding debts. I will explain this in an update so supporters know how their donations have been used.

Clearing this loan would ease the pressure on our monthly budget and help us manage our remaining debts ourselves. We are asking for help to remove one significant financial burden and make our family’s situation more manageable.
