Help Our Extended Family in Gaza
Donation protected
Our beloved extended family in Gaza is facing dire circumstances due to the ongoing war.
My name is Haya and I'm a 28-year-old Palestinian-Canadian. Over the last seven months, my extended family in the Gaza Strip have been displaced from their homes and living in plastic tents while surviving harsh elements, food and water scarcity, and lack of healthcare services among other safety & security issues.
As the situation is rapidly worsening, evacuating to Egypt has become the only way to ensure their safety and security. As such, my family and I are raising funds to help evacuate our extended family in Gaza as soon as possible and we need your support. 100% of funds raised will be withdrawn and used to register our family for evacuation in Egypt.
Here are their stories.
Omaymah Alsaqqa
My aunt, Omaymah, aged 74, was forced out of her home in Khan Younis and is now living in a plastic tent in Rafah. Her sole means of income derived from her late father's pension, which she is no longer receiving due to the war. Additionally, Omaymah recently suffered a broken leg while attempting to retrieve personal belongings from her severely damaged home. As such, we are working tirelessly to secure her relocation to Canada and get her the healthcare she needs.
Samia Alsaqqa & Family
My aunt Samia, age 65, and her husband Kamal, age 67, along with their sons Mohammed (32) and Feras (30), Feras's wife Tasneem (26), and their children Maram (3) and Amir (1) are currently residing in a plastic tent in Rafah after being forcibly displaced from their home in El Gararah. Kamal's physical disability and his chronic diseases add to their challenges. Your contributions will enable us to evacuate them to safety and support Kamal’s health.
Feras, Tasneem, and their children Maram and Amir.
Basema Alsaqqa & Family
My aunt Basema, age 63, and her husband Riyadh, age 70, along with their children and grandchildren, were all forced out of their home in Khan Younis. Together, Basema and Riyadh have four daughters and two sons: Rafeef (38), Lama (33), Yomna (30), Raghda (36), Mohammed (29), and Mahmoud (29). Except Mohammed, all of their children are married with children, and all have been forcibly displaced from their homes. Currently, Basema and Riyadh are living in a tent in Mawasi Khan Younis with Yomna and her family, Raghda and her family, Mahmoud and his family, and Mohammed. Your donations will help us facilitate their evacuation to ensure the family and children’s safety.
Mahmoud, his wife Hadeel, and their 2 children Bana and Riyadh Jr.
