Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m reaching out to ask for help for someone who means the world to me—my dad.

About a year ago, our lives were turned upside down when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. He faced his first round of chemotherapy and radiation with incredible strength, supported by short-term disability. When the cancer spread to another area, he was moved to long-term disability. Unfortunately, because he hadn’t reached five years at his job, he now receives only 71% of his income—and just once a month.

Most recently, we received the hardest news yet: my dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. This means he will be living with cancer for the rest of his life. But we are holding onto hope—he’s beginning immunotherapy, and we’re praying it will keep the cancer at bay and give us more time together.

My dad has worked so hard his whole life to provide for our family. He’s always been the one we could count on, and now it’s our turn to be there for him. Our goal is to help relieve some of the financial stress so that he and my mom can focus on his health, not on how to make ends meet.

To make things even harder, they recently lost their prescription coverage, adding to the financial strain. Between medical expenses, daily bills, and the rising cost of living, it’s been incredibly difficult to stay afloat.
