Hello everyone, our father was recently involved in a vehicle cloning incident. Vehicle cloning is when an individual steals a vehicle and then physically changes the VIN numbers and resells said vehicle. Our dad bought the truck from the individuals who stole it and even the state BMV couldn’t find anything wrong when they gave him his title and tags. EVERYTHING checked out as a non stolen vehicle with a clean and clear VIN number. The VIN number did pop up eventually as a vehicle that was still sitting on a car lot. The truck got taken away and now he is out $30,000, stuck with a $450 dollar loan payment and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Our dad is the first person anyone calls when they need help and he always comes through for them. He is always helping and that’s why we are asking for help for him.
