Help our dad recover from open-heart surgery

Hello,

This GoFundMe is part of an effort to raise funds for our dad, Ner Paras. He's currently recovering from an open-heart coronary artery bypass procedure after being diagnosed with multiple artery blockages. He was in the Philippines when he suffered a heart attack. He needed immediate surgery to save his life. On average, a typical open heart procedure takes 3-6 hours. Our dad's took 9 hours.

Thankfully, he is recovering but it will be a slow process. He is currently in the Philippines with family. However, finances will be another hurdle to tackle for the time being, in addition to his recovery. He does not have health insurance in the Philippines.

Never did we think we would be in this position now. We are asking for any donation to reach our goal of $30,000. This would help cover medical expenses and rehab for our father.

Anyone that knows him, knows he's one of the hardest-working human beings in the world. He manages a resort property in the Philippines, and as a dual citizen, works as a general contractor in New Mexico renovating residential homes.

Nothing would make us happier than knowing he has the support he's always given us. It's time we gave back to him. Thank you for your consideration.
