Dear friends,

We are humbly knocking on your generous heart to help our father Rolando Guevara, who was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer.

Our dad is a farmer who has always been a generous and humble person. He is currently a volunteer at the rotary club in the Philippines having various projects to help other people, provide school supplies to kids, give jobs to other farmers. He has raised donations for the operation of kids with cleft lip and cleft palate, as well as the elderly who have cataracts. These are only few of the many things and projects that he initiated. He never asked anything in return, but now he is the one needing help.

Unfortunately late last year, we found out he has bladder cancer. At first he was stable and was supposed to have a minor operation. He is admitted in Cagayan Valley Medical Center. Before the scheduled operation his creatinine spiked, experienced so much pain and had to undergo dialysis as we found out he had complications related to his kidneys. He then had to undergo his first operation by placing tubes on his kidneys. If all is stable, he will be having his bladder removed, then undergo urostomy. Only after these operations will he be having series of chemoterapy sessions.

All of the mentioned operations and sessions are quite costly despite health insurance. His hospital bills have exceeded our family’s means.
