Our family has been through more in the last few months than we ever imagined.
Our dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal esophageal cancer. He is no longer able to work, and while we don’t know exactly how much time we have, we know it is limited.
At the same time, our mom faced serious and unexpected health complications that kept her hospitalized for an extended period and required multiple surgeries. She is now home and recovering, but the emotional and financial toll on our family has been heavy.
For those who know my dad, this fundraiser really speaks to who he is.
He’s always been the one quietly taking care of everyone else... the person making sure people are fed, comfortable, and included. He listens in a way that makes you feel seen, and he treats everyone with genuine respect. Family has always come first for him, and even now, he continues to meet everything with humility, warmth, and an unbelievable amount of positivity.
He has spent his life giving more than he ever asked for. This time, we’re trying to give something back to him, time with the people he loves most.
Through everything, one wish has remained constant for our dad.
He wants to take his family away, together, for the first time.
Our family has never had a proper vacation. Life, work, and responsibilities always came first. A trip like this was never possible before. Now, with time being so precious, our dad wants to create memories with all of us, especially his four grandchildren, ages 10 to 13, who mean everything to him.
This trip isn’t about luxury. It’s about sitting together in the sun, sharing meals, laughing, and simply being present as a family while we still can.
The funds raised will help cover:
Travel costs for our family
An all-inclusive resort that allows for rest, comfort, and accessibility
Travel insurance and contingency medical needs
Basic monthly bills so the our parents can focus on time together without added stress
Every donation, share, and message of support means more than we can express. Thank you for helping us give our dad something that can never be replaced, time, memories, and togetherness.
