Our brother, Steve Carpenter, and his wife, Hannah, are facing an unimaginable crisis. Their 20-year-old son, Chris, suffered severe 2nd and 3rd degree burns and is currently in the hospital receiving intensive care. Chris will have his first surgery of many on February 25, and doctors have told us he will likely be in the hospital for at least 1 to 2 months, followed by a period of rehabilitation. This tragedy began when their home in East Alton, IL was destroyed by a devastating fire. The emotional and physical toll on their family has been overwhelming, and they are doing everything they can to stay strong for Chris during this incredibly difficult time.
As they begin to pick up the pieces, the financial burden will likely become more than they can handle on their own. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward covering Chris's medical expenses and helping with the homeowners insurance deductible so they can start rebuilding their lives. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in their journey toward recovery and stability.
Thank you for all of your support, prayers and donations. God Bless, Chad Carpenter & Janaé Hausman
