Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this, but I’m doing it because my little boy deserves every chance at a happy, healthy life.

This is Milo. We adopted him because we wanted to give him the loving home he deserved, but the truth is, he’s the one who rescued me. He’s my best friend, my shadow, and one of the biggest sources of happiness in my life. Anyone who knows Milo knows how loving, funny and gentle he is. He has the sweetest soul, and seeing him poorly has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through. Over the last few weeks, Milo has become increasingly unwell. He’s been vomiting, struggling with symptoms that just wouldn’t go away, and we’ve spent so much time at the vets trying to find out what was wrong. We’ve already paid for emergency appointments, blood tests, scans, medication and investigations. I don’t regret spending a penny because he’s family, but it’s left us in a position where we’re struggling to afford what he now desperately needs. Milo has been diagnosed with BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome), and he’s been referred for surgery. Without it, he’ll continue to struggle, continue to be sick, and won’t get the chance to live the normal, happy life that every dog deserves. Knowing there’s a surgery that could change his life, but worrying about how to pay for it, is absolutely breaking my heart.

The surgery costs £1,500, and I never thought I’d have to ask other people for help. I always believed we’d find a way ourselves, but after everything we’ve already spent, we just can’t do it alone.
