I never imagined I would be writing something like this. On Monday morning, my fiancé was detained by ICE at his workplace. He was taken into custody suddenly and at gunpoint, with no warning. In an instant, our lives and the future we were building were turned upside down.

My fiancé is a kind, hardworking, and loving person who came to this country in search of a better life. He is the main provider for his mother and siblings back in Mexico, supporting them through his dedication and sacrifice. His detention has affected not only us but also the family who depends on him for stability and support.

We were planning to get married next year and begin our life together. Instead, we are now facing emotional pain, uncertainty, and overwhelming legal and financial challenges.

We are based in Minnesota, where recent ICE activity and raids have created fear and uncertainty for many families. I never imagined that this would become our reality. What once felt distant or unlikely became real in an instant.

I am raising funds to help cover urgent expenses related to his detention, including immigration legal fees, bond costs, travel expenses, and basic living expenses, as I do everything I can to support him and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Hola a todos,

Nunca imaginé que estaría escribiendo algo así. El lunes por la mañana, mi prometido fue detenido por ICE en su lugar de trabajo, de manera repentina y sin ninguna advertencia. En un instante, nuestras vidas y el futuro que estábamos construyendo se pusieron en pausa.

Él es una persona trabajadora, amable y amorosa que vino a este país en busca de una vida mejor. Es el principal sostén económico de su mamá y hermanos en México, quienes dependen de él para su estabilidad y apoyo.

Estábamos planeando casarnos el próximo año y comenzar nuestra vida juntos. Hoy enfrentamos dolor emocional, incertidumbre y grandes retos legales y financieros.

Estoy recaudando fondos para cubrir gastos urgentes como honorarios legales, fianza, viajes y gastos básicos, mientras hago todo lo posible por apoyarlo a él y a su familia durante este momento tan difícil.
