We are thrilled to announce that after years of impact through community-based programs, we are launching something transformative for Philadelphia youth — The JL Walker Project Academy, a non-traditional K–12 school designed to elevate both academic achievement and career readiness through an innovative blend of Fine Arts and Technical Trades.

We’re asking for your support to raise $20,000 in startup funds to help us open the doors to our new facility and make this dream a reality!

Our Track Record: Serving 200+ Youth Over 4 Years

Through our community-based initiatives such as:

—we’ve provided safe spaces, skills, mentorship, and inspiration to over 200 youth and young adults across Philadelphia. Now, we’re taking it to the next level with a full-time school that builds upon the foundation we've laid.

Our Vision: A New Kind of School

JL Walker Project Academy Middle School is not your traditional school. Our mission is to:

Provide on-grade academic instruction from day one

Use a Top-Down Model to challenge students while scaffolding where needed

Integrate Fine Arts & Technical Trades into the core of the curriculum

Equip students with skills for both college and careers

Embrace the strengths and potential of every student—especially those underserved by traditional systems

Where Your Donation Will Go

Your generous contribution will help cover essential startup costs including:

Facility cleaning and upkeep

40 Chromebooks + 2 computer carts

40 student desks + 4 teacher desks

Exterior school signage

Marketing and outreach to families

New Rooftop and Building Maintenance

This $20,000 is the launchpad to help us build a strong, safe, and functional learning environment.
