Help Owen Heal: Medical Care & Family Stability

Hi, and thank you for being here.

My name is Amanda, and I’m raising support for my family, especially my younger son, Owen, who has been facing serious neurological challenges since a fall that appears to have caused a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Since then, Owen has had seizure-like episodes, moments of collapse, confusion, and overwhelming fatigue. We’ve had multiple emergency room visits, specialist appointments, and are now pursuing out-of-state care to get real answers.

One night in May of this year, Owen was asphyxiating. He had collapsed behind a closed door—unresponsive, limp, and cold. I had to physically break the door down to reach him. His breathing had slowed. He wasn’t speaking. I didn’t know if I was too late.

That night was the most terrifying of my life. And it changed everything. And it’s why I will do anything to protect him—but I can’t do it alone.

His big brother, Alex (16), was also home that night. He heard it first, woke me up, helped, and held it together in ways no teenager should have to. Alex has been our quiet hero—tuning into his little brother’s needs, advocating when I’m not in the room, and holding onto hope with a steady heart.

And on top of it all, I was recently let go from my job. I had communicated Owen’s condition, but I still lost the income we were depending on. I’m actively seeking work and pursuing every legal and ethical option—but right now, we need help getting through the gap.
