<div>Hi, and thank you for being here.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Amanda, and I’m raising support for my family, especially my younger son, Owen, who has been facing serious neurological challenges since a fall that appears to have caused a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since then, Owen has had seizures, moments of collapse, confusion, and overwhelming fatigue. We’ve had multiple emergency room visits, specialist appointments, and are now pursuing out-of-state care to get real answers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One night in May of 2025, Owen was asphyxiating. He had gone into a a seizure behind a locked door. When I kicked it in and found him, he was unresponsive, limp, and cold. I thought it was too late.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That night was the most terrifying of my life. And it changed everything. And it’s why I will do anything to protect him, but I can’t do it alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His big brother, Alex (16 at the time), was also home that night. He heard it first, woke me up, helped, and held it together in ways no teenager should have to. Alex has been our quiet hero—tuning into his little brother’s needs, advocating when I’m not in the room, and holding onto hope with a steady heart.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And on top of it all, I was recently let go from my job. I had communicated Owen’s condition, but I still lost the income we were depending on. Since originally posting this GoFundMe, I have secured new employment, but it is a significant dip in salary compared to what I was previously making. We need help getting through the gap.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support will help cover:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Ongoing medical appointments and specialist testing
</li>
<li>Travel and lodging for out-of-state care
</li>
<li>Medical tags
</li>
<li>Groceries, rent, and essential bills during this transition
</li>
<li>Support for Alex, whose strength and heart deserve recognition too
</li>
<li>A seizure alert dog (~$20k)
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every bit helps. Whether it's $5, a share, or just holding us in your heart—thank you. We’re still here because we’ve kept choosing each other. Now we’re asking for a little help along the way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Words of encouragement mean so much to us right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love and gratitude,
</div>
<div>Amanda, Alex, &amp; Owen
