Help Ollie’s Family
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m writing today on behalf of my amazing friend Darian, I’m writing this because Darian would never ask for help.
Darian is facing more than any one person should ever have to. Her youngest son, Ollie, was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare condition called STAG1. He now depends on a GI tube to survive, but from the beginning, there have been serious complications. He requires round-the-clock feeds, which he still struggles to tolerate, and constant hands-on care.
Because Ollie’s condition is so rare and his needs so intensive, Darian has had to become his full-time caregiver. Her husband, Trevor, works long hours to support their family of six, and while he does have benefits through work, the cost of Ollie’s ongoing medical needs and appointments has quickly outpaced what those benefits can cover.
As if that weren’t already enough, their oldest daughter was recently diagnosed with a lifelong disability, adding even more emotional and financial pressure. And beyond caring for her own children, Darian also helps care for her mother, who has been struggling with major complications following brain surgery last year. Due to these issues, her mom can no longer drive or manage many daily tasks alone, and Darian steps in to help her.
Darian always stays positive and kind no matter the weight she’s bearing.
With four children, one income, and an ever-growing list of medical and caregiving responsibilities, the stress this family is under is hard to put into words. But if anyone deserves a break—it’s Darian and her family.
This GoFundMe is to help ease the financial burden: to help cover medical expenses not covered by insurance, travel costs to frequent appointments, and to give this loving family a bit of breathing room during an incredibly difficult time.
Please consider donating if you’re able. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. And even if you can’t donate, sharing this with your network means the world to us.
Let’s rally around this family and remind them they’re not alone.
With deep gratitude,
Nichole
