My name is Avalon, and I am creating this fundraiser for my stepmother, Olivia. Over the past year, Olivia devoted herself entirely to caring for my father, Mark, as he battled cancer and ALS. Through every appointment, setback, and difficult day, she stood by his side, holding his hand and loving him with unwavering strength. As his illnesses progressed, the physical and emotional toll became overwhelming. Tragically, my father ultimately took his own life, leaving our family devastated and Olivia carrying the unimaginable trauma of losing the man she loved after fighting so hard alongside him.

In the wake of this loss, she has been navigating grief, trauma, financial uncertainty, and the challenge of starting over after losing not only her husband, but the future they had planned together. To make matters more difficult, Olivia is also caring for 5 beloved dogs that she and Mark shared. As she works to find stability again, we are urgently seeking loving homes for them so they can continue to receive the care and love they deserve.

We are raising funds to help Olivia with housing, moving expenses, daily living costs, and caring for the dogs while permanent homes are found. After spending so long caring for the person she loved most, we’re hoping to surround Olivia with the same kindness and support she has always given to others.
