Help Oliver Get Urgent Dental Surgery

Oliver, my sweet senior boy, needs to get several teeth removed. It’s an emergency. They’ve infected his nasal canal and he has several health problems because of it. These include chattering his teeth in pain, extreme loss of energy, and a dripping nose. We’re (vets and myself) worried about it spreading to his heart.

There are several things he needs help with, including several bumps that he needs to eventually get a biopsy on. The largest one formed on his back a few months ago and it’s definitely worrying me. But for now, the top of the list is removing most of his teeth and we’ll go from there.

A few months ago, I had to take Oliver to the emergency vet on our travels in Salt Lake City because he had kennel cough that turned into pneumonia. The vet told me how serious it was that he gets his infected teeth removed as soon as possible. He recovered from the pneumonia, but I really thought I was going to lose him in that month. Fast forward to a couple months later when I was in Portland to get his vaccines, the vet told me I’m racing against the clock to get his teeth removed and told me about a great not as expensive place in Astoria, Oregon. So I went there for 3 weeks because of that to book an appointment and stayed because there was hope of a spot that opened up, but they had to give it to an emergency situation last minute. So I have it booked for Monday to get his infected teeth removed.

Oliver and I have been living out of the car for the past over 6 months from our journey from Florida to Seattle.

The money will go to getting Oliver’s teeth removed, buying healthy soft food for him that he won’t have to chew too much, any medication he’ll need, gas for the trip there and back, if there’s extra money possibly an Airbnb for his recovery to get out of the car for a few days (not necessary, but convenient). Any extra money will go to necessities and won’t be wasted or abused on unneeded things. They don’t know exactly how much it’ll be until after the procedure because each case is different.

I hesitate to make this, but since it’s for Oliver, I let go of my pride. He will never and has never gone hungry. I would sell my music equipment before his safety in any way would be in danger. I’m a good dog dad and he is my number one priority. If you have a pet, you know how tricky and expensive it is to get dental work done for our fur babies.

I have enough between the rest of the money I have saved and another credit card to get this procedure done, but it’ll leave me in a pretty tough situation, so I wanted to reach out for anyone that would want to help Oliver.
