On October 27th, shortly after 9:00 AM, my father and uncle Octavio, were working cutting grass when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents unexpectedly approached them, requesting their identification documents. My uncle was apprehended, and we were provided with no information regarding his destination. My father was informed that if my uncle had no criminal history, he would be released, which was a lie. After several hours, my uncle contacted my cousin, informing her that he would be transferred to a detention center in Michigan. My uncle has resided in the United States for over 24 years and has established a family here. He has three children and a granddaughter. He has never been involved in any criminal activity. He was simply working like everyone else, striving to provide for his family. We are currently seeking financial assistance to support the legal proceedings that lie ahead.
