Occupy Madison is excited to have occupancy of our third tiny house village for people experiencing houselessness! We have successfully paid off and fully own our first two villages and we are working to pay off our construction debts on our third village and to pay for finishes (cabinetry, flooring, etc). When we build more houses and complete our villages, we will have 53 people living in our villages rent free!

How do we do that? It costs $10,000 - $12,000 per year to run all three villages and we pay for it with our spring plant sale, our winter holiday sale, our year round store and other fundraisers. While residents do not pay to live here, they are required to participate in the governance of the organization and they help by making wood products and crafts, participating in growing food and flowers as well as helping to build and maintain the villages.

With our third village we have a new shop to build our houses in, a new and larger craft room, a larger community room, another retail store and a computer room. And, we are excited to open a "free store" where people experiencing houselessness can shop for clothing, personal products and other goods once week.

We have big dreams for our third and largest village! We need your help to continue our progress because it takes a village to build a village!
