Obi’s 9 year old son Kaito has a condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It’s a devastating genetic disorder that slowly robs muscular strength, resulting in disability .

He started having walking difficulties/ symptoms age 6 as he started to work on his toes and calves started to tighten up. By the time he was 7 he was already struggling to climb up the stairs to his bedroom.

The muscles in his legs have started to weaken. He would often fall over when he attempts to stand.

Obi take’s Kaito frequently Birmingham Children’s hospital and Heartlands hospital Birmingham to see physio, paediatric and a cardiologist. He is on medication for his heart.

He struggles to walk properly anymore, let alone run.

He struggles climb stairs.

He can’t jump anymore as you can imagine.

He can’t even get into the car without help.

He cannot wash himself in the shower.

He can clean himself after using the toilet (sorry for the details).

Obi is one of us - he’s an property entrepreneur, a creative and powerful soul who wants to make a change - and what an amazing father to have as he decided to single handedly renovate this house to create a space for to have his Kaito’s needs met and for him to ENJOY his precious family time at home with his loved ones.

This amazing Father smiles on - building with his bare hands the home Kaito not only needs but deserves - with enough space and facility to enable Kaito to be comfortable and as independent as possible as his disorder progresses.

We are looking to raise £50,000 from this community of powerful entrepreneurs.

We only need 4,000 people to donate £12.50 each

This money will directly go into renovating this space for Kaito. You will be able to track the progress as Obi continues to work as fast and as economically as humanly possible.

This is life changing for this little boy - who at 9 is dealing with more than any human should ever have to deal with. Let’s dig deep and support one of our own community and make this property entrepreneurs dream come true - to build an accessible and beautiful home for Kaito.
